Government Technology magazine names 100 government-focused companies for innovations and contributions to the public sector.

ATLANTA – January 17, 2018 – GovSense, a leading cloud-based software solution provider for state and local government, was named a 2018 GovTech 100 company for the third consecutive year by Government Technology magazine. The list recognizes top companies whose solutions are aimed at the public sector, and who have developed ways to productively connect local governments with their citizens.

GovSense continues to experience rapid growth as it provides land, license, accounting and financial cloud-based solutions for local government. In December 2017 alone, GovSense added three new jurisdictions to its family of clients: the City of Ocala, Florida; the City of Evanston, Illinois; and the City of Alpharetta, Georgia. Each of these jurisdictions was experiencing unique challenges that GovSense is helping them solve with its unified, flexible software that creates seamless interdepartmental collaboration, paving the way for greater transparency, fluid communication and, ultimately, happier citizens.

“For the City of Alpharetta, we are providing an economic development solution that encourages business retention and expansion. As for the City of Evanston, they were in need of rental registration and health inspection software, so we worked hand-in-hand with them to provide a solution that met their specific needs,” explained Gary McTall, co-founder of GovSense. “At GovSense, we believe in empowering jurisdictions and helping them solve their specific business problems. We are focused on providing an excellent customer experience, and the GovTech 100 recognition lets us know that we are making a true impact in the public sector.”

GovSense software enables local governments to provide accessible, easy-to-use services for their constituents. For the City of Ocala, for instance, GovSense will help the city improve the administration of economic development, planning, permitting, inspections, licensing, enforcement, invoicing and revenue management. The system not only makes daily tasks easier for government employees, but it strengthens relationships with constituents as it encourages fast, easy processes.

Paul Cammisa, co-founder of GovSense, is a firm believer in a customer-centric culture. “Our mission is to provide leaders with a 360-degree view of their organization, and the only way to achieve that is by understanding each jurisdiction’s pain points,” Cammisa said. “Being named a GovTech 100 company for the third consecutive year demonstrates that we are on the right track in helping local governments advance technologically, which will ultimately lead to smarter communities.”

The GovTech 100 is an annual list compiled and published by Government Technology as a compendium of 100 companies focused on, making a difference in, and selling to state and local government agencies across the United States.

GovSense utilizes the agile implementation methodology that results in rapid time to value for all jurisdictions, regardless of what challenges specific departments face.
