SMS Privacy Policy
GovSense Case Notifications Program — Effective July 6, 2026
This SMS Privacy Policy describes how GovSense (“GovSense,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the GovSense Case Notifications text messaging program. It supplements the general GovSense Privacy Policy. Where this policy addresses SMS-specific practices, this policy controls for the messaging program.
1. About the messaging program
GovSense Case Notifications is an opt-in SMS program available to GovSense customers and employees with an active user account. Messages include case received confirmations, case status updates, and deadline reminders related to the recipient’s own cases and requests. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time.
2. Information we collect
When you opt in to the messaging program, we collect:
- Your mobile phone number;
- Your opt-in consent, including the date, time, and method of consent;
- Message delivery data and your replies to program messages (such as STOP or HELP requests).
3. How we use this information
We use your mobile phone number and consent record solely to operate the GovSense Case Notifications program: to send you the notifications you have requested, to honor opt-out requests, to respond to HELP requests, and to comply with legal and carrier requirements. We do not use your mobile information for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes.
4. Mobile information sharing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with, or sold to, any third parties or lead generators. Information may be shared with subcontractors that provide support services, such as customer service or message delivery providers, solely as necessary to operate this program.
5. Opting out
You may opt out of the messaging program at any time by texting STOP to the number from which you receive messages, or by unchecking the SMS consent box under Notification preferences in your GovSense account. After opting out, you will receive one final message confirming your unsubscription, and no further messages will be sent unless you opt in again.
6. Data retention and security
We retain your mobile phone number and consent records for as long as you remain opted in to the program, and thereafter as required to demonstrate consent history and comply with legal obligations. We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect.
7. Contact us
If you have questions about this SMS Privacy Policy or the messaging program, contact us at support@govsense.com, or reply HELP to any program message.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this SMS Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
